The National College for Teaching & Leadership
The NCTL is an executive agency of the UK’s Department for Education and sets high standards in the education sector for headteachers and teachers. If these standards are not met and serious professional misconduct has taken place, the NCTL has the authority to make decisions leading to the prohibition of teachers from the teaching profession.
