Book an appointment for UK visa in India

You can only apply for a UK visa online through the website Visa4UK and once the online application has been submitted, you will be required to book an appointment at one of the many Visa Application Centres all over India. You can choose any one that is most local and convenient.

You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before your date of travel to the UK and should not make any travel arrangements until you have received your visa.

You must attend the appointment at the visa application centre on the given date and time. You will not be allowed to enter without a pre booked appointment.

At the Visa Application Centre you will be required to hand in your supporting documentation and provide your biometric details.

Ensure you receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your application and keep this as evidence of submittal and to later collect your documents.

You will have to enrol your biometrics. Without doing, so your application will not be considered. What this means is that you will have to enrol your fingerprints by way of a digital finger scan (no ink, liquid or chemicals are used) of all fingers and have a digital photograph taken. Your fingertips should be clean and free from henna, cuts, abrasions or other markings that can interfere with the scanning of your finger tips.

Finally, you will be able to choose to collect your documents in person at the visa application centre or have them delivered to you by post.

If you require any assistance with making an application, then we are here to assist and can do it for you from the UK. Visit our Immigration department for further information.
