Congratulations to Rachael Panter

Congratulations to Rachael Panter for gaining third place in Nottinghamshire Law Society’s Hammond Cup.

The advocacy competition is organised by the Junior Lawyers Division of the Nottinghamshire Law Society and attracts many applicants. In the initial round competitors had to present their plea in a case to a panel of judges made up of a solicitor, barrister and magistrate. The highest scoring competitors then went through to a final when they took part in a mock trial.

The judges commented on the very high standard of advocacy shown this year and how difficult that had made it for them to decide on a winner. To be recognised as one of the top student advocates in Nottingham and to have reached the finals for the second year running is quite an achievement.

Well done Rachael!
