Movember shave for Birmingham solicitors
It’s been a hairy month for leading national law firm Cartwright King with staff becoming ‘Mo-Bro’s’ and abandoning their razors to raise awareness and money for the charity Movember.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world. With their ‘Mo’s’, men raise vital funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and mental health. As an independent global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
Colleagues from across the firm’s offices in London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Sheffield and Newcastle joined forces and through their growing efforts raised over £1,000 for the charity. With Movember coming to an end, criminal defence specialist and director Richard Murray was joined by fellow fundraiser Reyaz Ali for a traditional wet shave with hot towels and cutthroat razors.
Richard commented: “After being touched by the loss of a friend’s father several years ago I decided to join in with Movember to encourage men to be more open about their health concerns and have now been taking part for several years. This year, thanks to all the support from our friends and colleagues, it’s been particularly fun.”
