Claire is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and was one of the first few Legal Executives to attain the Certificate of Advocacy to enable her to have the same Rights of Audience as Solicitors and thus enabling her to be Admitted to the Law Society’s Children’s Panel.
Claire is experienced in both Private and Public Law cases involving Children which includes applications for Special Guardianship Orders, Adoption, Secure Accommodation Orders and Wardship Proceedings in the High Court. She acts on behalf of Parents, Children and also family members within those proceedings.
Claire has been dealing exclusively with cases involving Children for in excess of 13 years and has attained a wealth of knowledge in doing so.
Claire acts on behalf of Parents including via the Official Solicitor when required. Claire works closely with Parents who have issues surrounding substance misuse and concerns about their mental health and has secured successful outcomes for these Parents.
Also she has dealt with cases whereby the Children have sustained multiple injuries and other complex issues such those that arise from cultural orientation.
Claire also acts on behalf of the children taking her instructions from the Children, after considering whether they are competent to provide the same directly and, also through their appointed Guardian in both Private and Public Law proceedings.
Throughout cases Claire examines all the evidence meticulously and represents Parents or the Children at Court to ensure they have continuity of representation to give them peace of mind that their views and aspirations are fully conveyed to the Court and parties involved.
