Andrea Prescott Instructed on Female Majority Supreme Court Panel Case

Andrea Prescott was instructed on a monumental Supreme Court case which had a female majority panel for the first time in legal history. Andrea appeared with Henry Setright QC, Alex Ruck Keene, Annabel Lee and Michael Gration all instructed by the Official Solicitor.

The hearing was to decide whether a 19-year-old man was deprived of his liberty when he was moved from a psychiatric hospital into a home where he was under constant supervision and control when he was 16. It is hoped that this case will bring much needed clarity as to the parameters of parental consent for vulnerable young adults aged 16-17 years old.
