Cartwright King Offers Experience For Derby Law School Students

Cartwright King Trainee Solicitor, Sophie Britten is joining students at Derby Law School to offer her experience in its Legal Skills Triathlon on 18 March.
Teamed up with a student, Sophie will be guiding and supporting throughout several tests of knowledge in areas such as a mock courtroom and interviewing a defendant.
The students will be pitted against each other to learn essential legal skills, readying themselves firstly for examinations, as well as a taste of what they will be coming up against in their career when they have completed their studies.
Opportunities such as these ensure that the students see the benefits associated with their learning programme, and gain practical advice from someone who has been working in the field. This field experience is useful to impart to the student, not only in a knowledge capacity, but also to be a part of the winning team.
Sophie has a Training Contract with Cartwright King and is completing her Legal Practising Certificate part-time.
Having been gaining experience in different areas of law across the firm, Sophie is now moving to General Crime for the second seat of her contract before fully qualifying.
The Legal Skills Triathlon will be held at Derby Law School on March 18, 2020.
