Legal 500 2021 Rankings

Cartwright King’s position as a leading national law firm has been confirmed by its ranking in ‘The Legal 500’, 2021 edition, published yesterday.

The firm was ranked in the prestigious first tier for firms specialising in fraud in the East Midlands and North-West. It was also ranked for fraud in Yorkshire & Humber, the West Midlands, and for White-Collar fraud in London.

For general crime, the firm ranked in the first tier in the East Midlands and Yorkshire & Humber. It also ranked in the West Midlands, North-West and London.

The UK’s leading law guide stated that Cartwright King had, “one of the most formidable crime and fraud teams in the UK’.

The Legal 500 also recognised Richard Cornthwaite as a Leading Individual, Michael Balmer as Next Generation Partner Andrea Prescott and John Allchin as Rising Stars.

Criminal Solicitor, Michael Herford, was mentioned as a “Stand out practitioner” and as “the name to note for fraud cases”.

In the East Midlands, the firm ranked for Immigration with Cartwright King, Head of Immigration, Rita Kotecha, being described as ‘always very committed to achieving the best outcome possible for her clients.”

Our Care team in Sheffield was described as “the team is exactly that, a “team” who works together in the best interests of those they represent.” Head of Department, Paul Szabo being described as a “very good communicator, provides clear instructions, very professional”.
