Cartwright King Celebrates Double Victory at the Manchester Resolution Legal Awards

Cartwright King is proud to announce a triumphant evening at the Manchester Resolution Legal Awards, which took place on Thursday 5 February 2026 at the Lowry Hotel. In a showcase of the region’s finest family law practitioners, Team CK secured nominations in three of the five award categories, ultimately taking home two major honours.

The evening celebrated the core values of Resolution: innovation, compassion, and a non-confrontational approach to family justice. More than 200 members of the legal community gathered at The Lowry to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in their service to families and the profession.

Distinguished Winners and Finalists

The judges praised the outstanding contributions of our team members, reflecting the high calibre of talent at the firm and our reputation as a leader in Children Care law:

• Brontë Ashworth was awarded Resolution Community Champion. This award recognises Brontë’s unwavering commitment to her community and her dedication to fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for those navigating the complexities of family law.
• Emma Cordock was named Lawyer of the Year. This accolade reflects Emma’s exceptional legal skill, her high standards of professionalism, and her reputation as a leading advocate for her clients within the Manchester legal circuit.
• Rachel Jones was also celebrated as a finalist, having been shortlisted from many applicants for the Resolution Kindness / Wellbeing Champion award. Rachel’s recognition is a wonderful testament to her character and the positive impact she has on those around her.

To be shortlisted in three out of only five categories is a significant achievement, reflecting the depth of talent and the shared commitment to the Code of Practice held by the entire team.
