Responsibilities

  • Handling initial client enquires, identifying if a client is eligible for funding through the Legal Aid Agency or privately funded and explaining the tests for Legal Aid where appropriate
  • Liaising with existing clients and delegating calls to fee earners within the Family team;
  • Taking initial instruction from clients including personal details and documents;
  • Organising diaries and scheduling meetings;
  • Supporting the Family department with any ad-hoc tasks.

Candidate requirements

  • Has experience of working in a busy time- sensitive environment;
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly, flexible, and capable manner, and can build relationships quickly; strong team player
  • Has strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Has an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ideally has previous experience working in a legal setting;
  • Numerate and literate and has a good command of the English language;
  • 5 GCSE’s with A*-C grades, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
