In the role you will undertake a variety of duties, including:

  • Handling initial client enquires, identifying if a client is eligible for funding through the Legal Aid Agency or privately funded and explaining the Legal Aid tests where appropriate.
  • Liaising with existing clients and delegating calls to fee earners within the Family team.
  • Taking initial instruction from clients including personal details and documents.
  • Organising diaries and scheduling meetings.
  • Supporting the Family department with any ad-hoc tasks.

Person Specification

We are looking for the following qualities in candidates:

  • Has experience of working in a busy time- sensitive environment.
  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive, friendly, flexible, and capable manner, and can build relationships quickly; strong team player.
  • Has strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Has an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ideally has previous experience working in a legal setting.
  • Numerate and literate and has a good command of the English language.
  • 5 GCSE’s with A*-C grades, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
