Senior Child Care Solicitor (National)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Child Care Solicitors to join our Care department. The successful candidate will provide high quality legal advice and services in legally aided and privately funded family matters including Children Act matters (public law) and adoption as well as managing a high workload and undertaking their own advocacy when appropriate to so do.

Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with both legally aided and private funded caseloads of Children Act matters including adoption, and advocacy
- Actively manage and develop client relationships including day to day contact with key clients
- Ensure Children and adoption Law knowledge is up to date and is familiar with all relevant legislation
- Liaise closely with other fee earners in the team and with clients
- Timely completion of forms, letters and applications
- To act as an ambassador for the firm
- Research
- To play an active role in the delivery of targets in line with the current business plan
Person Specification / Requirement
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- 5+ years PQE
- Advocacy experience and familiarity with court procedures in family law
- Ability to work under pressure and comply with deadlines
- The necessary skills in respect of client care
- Demonstrable commitment to teamwork
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to develop and expand a case load
- Work well as part of a team
- Working to targets and deadlines
- Managing a high and varied workload
- Children Law Accredited – SRA (desirable)
- Be PC literate having good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
