The application process for 2021 is now closed. We are now accepting applications for 2022 but these will not be considered until later next year.
Training contracts at Cartwright King will provide you with access to a wide range of legal experience as a valued member of our national firm.
We are committed to developing future legal professionals. We’ve made that possible by building a stimulating, supportive and rewarding environment to ensure trainee solicitors can make the most of their potential and secure newly qualified solicitor positions within the firm.
Wherever possible, your training will reflect your interests and ambitions. You’ll learn from established experts, work on high-profile cases, have contact with clients and take on real responsibility.
Training & Support Throughout the two-year training contract you will work in 4 training seats, each in a different team specialising in a different area. The training contract begins with an induction programme to introduce you to the firm, your team, your fellow trainee solicitors and our systems and processes so that you are ready to go when you start your first seat.
During the induction process, you will be assigned a ‘buddy’ who will show you around and provide you with support and a point of contact for any questions you may have. In each seat you will work through a structured programme, perform real work and your supervisor will oversee your development over the six months you are with them. You will be provided with feedback and regular reviews to ensure you are gaining the necessary experience.
You will receive dedicated training including attendance at the Professional Skills Course (PSC) and the opportunity to attend the firm’s regular legislation update seminars and other training.
If you meet the required skills and experience and would like to apply for the role, please email your cover letter and CV using the submission form below.
