Andrew Brumhill, Director and Head of our Magistrates Court team based at our Bedford Office, is a trustee to a local charity called the ‘James Kingham Project’. This charity provides essential services to those who have alcohol addictions. Andrew has been a trustee for 6 years and is committed to raising awareness of the issues alcohol abuse can cause in society and is often an integral issue in the criminal justice system.
Hayley Siong, from our Marketing team, was recently asked to become a trustee to a new homelessness charity in Bedford called ‘Just Us’. It’s a charity that assists those who are homeless and have been denied access to services such as housing and health. Hayley says, “Being invited to become a trustee is such an honour and I feel very humbled to have been given this incredible opportunity to get involved with ‘Just us’.
Andrew and Hayley have also set up local legal advice clinics at various support centres throughout Bedford to make sure those who are most vulnerable can access legal services without any fears or barriers to prevent them from doing so.
Through our corporate social responsibility and our commitment to community engagement, we actively encourage staff to work with local services and support providers.
