A solicitor at leading law firm Cartwright King is gearing up for an exciting new challenge as he prepares to take part in this summer’s London to Paris Bike Ride.
Regan Peggs, a criminal defence and motoring law specialist at the firm’s Birmingham office, will be joining hundreds of other cyclists for the charity challenge from the UK capital to the Arc de Triumph on Saturday 26 July.
Alongside friend Rob Jagger, he hopes to raise much needed funds for chosen charity The Big Issue Foundation – which offers homeless people a helping hand to earn a decent living and access vital services.
Regan said: “This is a really brilliant charity, which Cartwright King works very closely with in Birmingham, running a weekly advice clinic for the group.”
Regan has been training hard for the bike ride itself, which brings together people from all walks of life as they peddle through the breathtaking English and French countryside before eventually ending up in the heart of Paris – a journey that typically takes a gruelling three days.
He commented: “We’ve had some brilliant joint training sessions so far, Rob has set a phenomenal pace. Our new bikes have been really put to the test and we’re both feeling sore, but very optimistic about the challenge.”
