Rachel Baldwin, solicitor at the Sheffield office of Cartwright King, has been elected as the new Vice President of the Sheffield & District Law Society.
Rachel was elected at the society’s annual general meeting in April. She will become responsible for moving the society forward over the course of the next year, both in terms of the positive work it carries out for members and for the role it plays within Sheffield’s legal community.
As well as being a key decision maker on the executive committee, Rachel will also attend regular social functions on behalf of the society.
Rachel said: “As someone who is born and bred in Sheffield I am very proud to be elected as the Vice President and intend to use my role to benefit the local legal community”
The Sheffield & District Law Society represents over 400 members and is the professional association for solicitors practicing in Sheffield, Rotherham and the surrounding area. Founded in 1875, the society exists to represent and promote the interests of solicitors in the area and to support the work of the profession locally.
