She qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and has practiced in Court of Protection and community care litigation for over 12 years in all courts up to and including the Supreme Court.
I specialise in Court of Protection health and welfare litigation, in addition to undertaking work of a public law nature, predominantly in community care matters. Since March 2018, I have been a Law Society Accredited Legal Representative which allows me, when appointed by the Court, to act on P’s behalf. This is an absolute privilege given the vulnerability of my client group.
I primarily assist vulnerable clients with extremely personal and sensitive matters, which often include the Court deciding where they live, who they have contact with the care they receive which can mean that they are deprived of their liberty. I am passionate about ensuring that my client’s rights are protected and the case is resolved to their benefit. I am proud of the strong rapport I am able to build with clients which I think is through my down to earth and approachable nature. Most importantly, I care about how what I do affects my client and will push hard for the best outcome for them.
In my spare time I am an avid baker and arts and crafter. I am also a rugby and world film fan. I have renovated and redesigned my house with my own fair hands which has put my problem solving skills, persistence and patience to the test. With all things in life, I like to leave them improved and much better than when I found them.
