About Davina
Davinia has an established background as a Child Protection – Local Authority solicitor, working both as a Senior Solicitor and within the Senior Management Team for a number of local authorities across Greater Manchester and Cheshire for over 25 years. Davinia has dealt with complex and high profile reported cases.
In 2020, Davinia moved from local authority to private practice, continuing to represent Local Authorities and additionally representing parents within public law proceedings.
Panel Memberships and Accreditations
Davinia is a member of The Law Society, Children Law Accreditation Scheme. She specialises in representing children in complex public law proceedings via their appointed Children’s Guardian or by representing the child directly.
Charity Membership/Fundraising Activity/Pro Bono Work and Initiatives
Davinia supports the Greater Manchester Family Justice Board in enabling children involved in public law proceedings to understand the court process through the Children’s Court Access Tour, supporting children to visit the Manchester Family Court, observe a mock trial, meet with a judge and solicitors, and ask questions as to the court process.
