Gozie Okorocha joined Cartwright King as a Consultant Solicitor in November 2019 after heading up the Mental Health department of a London based legal aid Firm. Gozie graduated from the University of Southampton in 2006 with an LLB Law degree and completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford in 2008.
Gozie has over ten years’ experience representing clients who are subject to the provisions of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended). Gozie advocates for clients at Hospital Managers and First-Tier Tribunal hearings, and he represents clients at CPA/s.117 meetings. He has also assisted clients in Nearest Relative displacement proceedings in the County Court.
Gozie has held an Accreditation under the Law Society‘s Mental Health Scheme since 2012, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in this area.
Gozie also has some experience in employment, personal Injury and housing matters.
