More about Julian

I am a specialist Mental Health solicitor and have been since 2004 when I qualified as a solicitor.  I spend my time representing patients in hospital detained under the Mental Health Act and those in the community subject to Community Treatment Orders and Conditional Discharges.  I have been doing so since 2004 and was for some time also a Criminal Law Duty Solicitor.  I have a great deal of experience in working in the Mental Health Law area of law and have represented many patients at various Mental Health Tribunals.

I came to the Law late having served 16 years in the Royal Air Force and after being made redundant and wanted to work in the Legal Aid area of Law having completed an option on my degree course in both Criminal Law and Mental Health Law.

In my spare time I like to go to the gym, read and walking both at low level and in the mountains of the UK.  I also enjoy both road cycling and off road mountain biking. I also like to travel and spend two weeks every summer in Cornwall surfing and enjoying all the sea has to offer.

I am an accredited member of the Law Society’s Mental health Panel.
