Thomas completed a bachelor’s degree in law at Durham University and a master’s degree in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in Leeds.
He began his career as a paralegal in mental health law in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in December 2020, specialising in mental health law and the Court of Protection.
Thomas has represented a high number of clients in all matters relating to the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act. He has also brought successful cases against Local Authorities for unlawful deprivation of liberty of people in the community and in care settings.
Thomas currently specialises in health and welfare matters before the Court of Protection, representing the interests of vulnerable clients to make sure their voices are heard and their rights are upheld.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys watching and participating in the sport of boxing. He has a keen interest in history and particularly enjoys the historical fiction works of writers such as Bernard Cornwell and Conn Iggulden.
