Louise O'Driscoll is part of our national criminal defence team.
Louise has over 10 years experience as a qualified duty solicitor advising at the police station, representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court and preparing cases for the Crown Court. Louise has both defended and prosecuted cases in the Magistrates’ Court and is highly respected in both fields. Louise has achieved excellent results for both private and legal aid clients through her determination and unwavering drive to ensure each of her cases is well prepared and well presented to the Court. Louise has a particular passion for Road Traffic matters and has retained many individuals driving licences through successfully running legal arguments before the Court.
Louise has vast experience working with vulnerable adults and children at what is often a very frightening time in their lives. Louise’s calm and empathetic nature makes those she works with feel as though they are in safe hands.
Louise has worked in Leicestershire, Derbyshire as well as Nottingham and so has excellent connections across the region. The highlight of her career took her as far afield as China on an international kidnapping case which proved both professionally and personally an incredible experience.
Louise also assists with Education Law matters including assisting parents, carers and students with a range of issues. These include school admissions appeals, school exclusion appeals, university complaints and special educational needs.
Regulatory Law: Louise is a key member of the Regulatory Law Team focusing on defending businesses and people in business from regulatory investigations and prosecutions by organisations like the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Environment Agency, Local Authorities’ Trading Standards and Environmental Health departments and many more.
