Sue Swan is an Associate Solicitor based in our Birmingham office.
Sue has significant experience representing clients in a wide range of criminal defence cases at all stages of an investigation and court proceedings.
Over 12 years experience regularly representing police officers facing criminal and misconduct allegations. Called upon to advise police officers in relation to incidents arising out of police contact or an emergency response resulting in a death or serious injury.
Sue has accumulated knowledge of operational policing and the practical application of the Police Codes of Ethics and Regulations and is attuned to the ever changing political influences which can affect investigations and decisions relating to police misconduct matters.
Sue has also represented a number of medical professionals and solicitors accused of criminal offences.
Successfully represented clients accused of a large range of offences including serious offences of violence, murder and attempted murder and sexual offences including allegations of rape and sexual assault as well as many forms of dishonesty offences
Sue also advises clients in relation motoring offences, including successfully raising technical defenses due to breaches of procedure by the Police.
