Cartels are businesses that collude to fix prices, bid-rig or divide the market up between them or share commercially sensitive information. Business cartels are illegal because they contravene anti-trust and competition laws.

What is insider trading?

Insider trading is often an individual who uses their ‘inside knowledge’ to abuse or manipulate the market. Price fixing is often a result of insider trading. Insider trading is illegal under the Criminal Justice Act 1993.

What sentence could I face?
